First visit to the new location on a Monday night around 9pm. The two of us were easily able to get a seat at the bar. Service was a bit slow, took a while to get our beers, get our check, etc. Unfortunately one of our beers was flat, it took a long time for the tap to pour it out, so we should have expected something was wrong with it, and the bartender was A-OK with us sending the beer back because of that. There are a lot of beers on tap, so that was a bonus for us. While we didn't have food this time, it looked to be the same menu as the other Frank & Steins location. The parking lot in front is very small, but you can park at the bank lot next door as well. Apparently, if you are there after 2pm you can park across the street at KeKe's and walk over..

Frank & Steins is really good! We go there about once a month, usually on trivia night. There's a good variety of food and some gluten-free options, which is definitely nice! I had the bacon mac-n-cheese dog last night - SO GOOD. My husband got the pastrami sandwich and he really liked it. We also split the smores flatbread, which I would recommend to anyone who loves nutella. Our friends got the Frito pie and the pretzel - they both really enjoyed them. There's also a huge variety of beers and ciders (I'm a cider person, so seeing about 10 different ones is AWESOME). Our server was great! I don't remember her name, but the whole restaurant was packed for trivia night and she still delivered excellent service. We were originally sitting outside since there weren't any tables available and she took our drink orders while we waited for a table to clear. Once there were tables inside, she came to get us and transferred our bill to that table, no problems. We'll definitely be back here!

Nice atmosphere and food for typical game days! Grab a dog and beer with friends while rooting for your team!

Came here on a UFC fight night. It was seat yourself. Stood around for a while and finally got some seats. Ordered some beers, the giant pretzel and buffalo wings. Everything was decent but not great. Service was subpar. Took forever for the bartender to even look our way when we were trying to order drinks while waiting for a table. Then it took so long for the waitress to come over when we were sitting at a table. It was busy, but not that busy. All the tables were full and less than 10 people standing around with a beer in their hand. So, no excuse for the service, not to mention the staff were all acting like they wished they were somewhere else. This could be a really good place. Management needs to teach the staff that the faster they are and the more pleasant they are, the more money they'll make and the more customers that will come through the door.

My co-worker raved about this place at work on day so I decided to try it after work. The restaurant parking is weird so be prepared to search for parking. There is parking on the side. I was able to park in the small parking lot in from of the restaurant. Once inside I could see this a modern trendy restaurant. I was doing take out so I got a seat at the bar. I ordered a Chicago dog. While waiting on my order I could tell that place has a very nice played back bar feel. They have a very large selection of beer. I unfortunately am not a beer drinker. I received my order and went home. My Chicago dog was okay nothing extravagant about it just an average hot dog.NOt sure if I would go back and if I do I would try something else on the menu. Very nice bar!

Found this place with a Groupon deal. Hot dog menu descriptions make it sound like you'll need a flip-top head to be able to eat what you ordered. Wait a long while and you get nothing more than a 7-11 hot dog. I was disappointed. Pretzel appetizer was good, though took forever to come out. Surprisingly their mustard selection was poor. You have a hot dog restaurant, a pretzel appetizer and you only have 2 mustards? Really? Step it up. Hire a waitress that doesnt seem offended when you ask her menu questions and this will help also. You have a great location near Rollins but I don't see this place lasting too long if things don't improve

Great location. I do miss Shipyard but if there's a place that's going to try & replace it, this ones a pretty good substitute! Great atmosphere, loved the decor. They have a ton of TVs with some rustic style, blown up vintage looking beer adds on the ceiling. Great upscale feel to a local bar! The food was super yummy! We got the BBQ pizza with gluten free crust. The crust was masterfully prepared and despite the difficulties of GF dough, nice and crispy. Great amount of toppings, no skimping here! For the love of all that is holy, get some real dining wear!!! Paper plates & plastic forks/knives is NOT ok! For that, in order to uphold my morale and dignity, I must retract one star. :( The great news in this star loss is that it's pretty easy to redeem yourself. Just invest in some actual plates and silver wear. AWESOME beer selection! & they even offer a happy hour on several of their drafts!!! *My fav*

I've seen other reviews complain about the service, but we had a great experience! The valet walked me to the door with an umbrella (it was raining), and our waitress served us promptly throughout the night, even though we weren't in her section (not sure where our actual waiter was). The food was great, beer selection almost overwhelming there are so many great choices, but the parking and bathroom situations really detract from the experience. There is hardly any parking (even if you consider valet an option), and the bathroom was...in need of some work. The women's restroom's toilet didn't flush properly, and the sink was falling apart. I hope the kitchen looks better.

Not sure I will ever write a review as bad as this one will be. I had such high hopes for this place. It was a little busy when we got there and they only had two waitresses working. That was the least of the problems. We ordered water to drink for the hubby and ice tea with lime for me. She brings the tea without the lime but fixed that right away. We ordered the pretzel for an appetizer. And I ordered a hot dog with the fixings and the hubby ordered the veggie dog with fixings. Hubby has been a Vegan for almost three years now. The dogs come with chips so we figured we would have more than enough to eat. After waiting about 15 minutes for the pretzel appetizer to come out, my husband asked about it and the waitress mentioned that it usually comes out two minutes before the food. But she had already brought is the chips that come with the food which we finished before the food came. Once the hot dogs came out she brought them over and still didn't have the pretzel appetizer. That came two minutes after the food. Some of the fixings were missing from hubby's but we just wanted to get done and out but it was not until he was almost done that we realized that, for a veggie hot dog that it tasted way to good. And I am sure by now you can guess way. That's right it wasn't it was a 100% beef. He is already starting to feel the effects. Never again.. if there was a negative review this would be it.

We went to Frank & Steins only because there was great deal on Groupon for it. There was zero parking when I got there on a Thursday night and had to valet, which was no big deal. The waitress was very attentive, but didn't know very much about the beer menu. The food came out very fast. The hotdogs were great. Everyone order different dogs and seemed please. The appetizers (wings and chips and queso) were not so good.

Service was slow, food a no but the beer was good. Happy hour M-F 4 till 7pm half off 10 different draft beers.

Came on a fairly busy night and the kitchen was pretty slammed. While we waited a very long time, we had top notch customer service by our waiter/manager, Jason. The guy went out of his way to make sure our wait was masked by "tubs" of beer and just good service. Thanks again for everything.

Meh, I can't say anything stronger than that when it comes to the food served here. The different hot dog descriptions don't deliver when it comes to the final product. Great selection of beer and nice sports bar setup but their food could use some work.

Really disappointed, we loved shipyard and the replacement was awful. The food was bad, awful noisy atmosphere where you can play skeeball. Mediocre service. Save your time and money.

OK, so this is a hard review to write. Mainly because I am so conflicted. The beer/drink list is amazing and the atmosphere is great. Went here with a few friends and had an absolute blast watching football and playing the board games. However, the menu reads like something you would find at a 7/11. Exactly none of the food sounded even remotely appetizing. So if you want some great drinks & a great time, go for it, just eat before you go.

Last minute lunch change because Ethos Kitchen was slammed. Hot dogs and beer. Used to be Shipyard Brewing. Just off Park Ave in Winter Park, this little bar has outdoor seating. I had the French Dip frank...that's right. Roast beef and provolone cheese wrapped around a hot dog and topped with horseradish mayo. Not bad. Kinda fun. My friend had a brat with her beer. Her mother had the classic frank. Not a huge crowd at Noon on a Saturday. Server was friendly and came around enough to check on us.

I'd give 4 stars to the kitchen and for the choice of beers. This was our third time here and every time it's harder to convince ourselves it's worth coming back because of the terrible wait staff. Not once have we had a knowledgable sever. Every one single girl is cute and clue less to anything about beer or serving tables in general. Tonight Chelsea helped us take care of ourselves. She set the beers down not knowing the difference between a dark porter and a light ale, very different colors. She set the beers down and walked away without asking us if we would like food. Instead she went to another table to take a shot with them, staying to talk while we waited patiently for her to show us any attention. We put in our order which she did not write down. After 5 mins at the computer she came back and had to take the entire order again. Even after hearing it the second time she brought the wrong chips which I exchanged myself in their side service station. After 3 times I'm convinced there is NO training for these girls, not beverage training, or even a basic on how to interact with tables. They are awkward and useless. Don't waste your time. All three of the people I went with out severs, we understand if it's busy and that problems happen but the problem here is they don't know what they are doing, a bad sever can be forgotten but a consistently bad service can really not be erased.

What a disappointment. I bartend dt Orlando and visit that location very often and have NEVER been disappointed so I was looking forward to making this place a new regular stop, since I live in winter park, but that won't be happening. My friend and I, who dined here, have both worked in hospitality for 6 plus years. We both agreed that our service was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. My rating is solely based off of this, our food was perfect. I understand that everyone has "bad days" but our server was not attentive and unprofessional. We visited on a Thursday around 6pm, bar had a few costumers and only one other table in the restaurant. Our server greeted us once we sat down and we ordered waters while we looked over the drink menu. It was almost ten minutes we waited with our menus closed and out to the side while we watched our server check her phone behind the bar multiple times, and sit at a bar stool and stare at the tv, before she came to take our dinner orders, still with no waters in hand. I mentioned the water again before ordering our food. She brought the waters and the beer my friend ordered. Food came out promptly after this. After receiving our food it was another ten plus minutes till our server "checked on us," by which I mean she finally caught me staring at her, for me to ask for a side of sauce. She brought it promptly as well, and I thanked her genuinely, as I did the whole time, but she lacked any enthusiasm or interest the entire time we were there. There were other issues with our service but I'm just writing those off as additions to my already established frustration, you guys get the gist. I hate to be that person that comes on here and "says they're in hospitality" but then complains, but its so frustrating to look forward to going out and spending your money when you're finally off and feeling uncomfortable or a burden to your server. I was baffled to even believe a manager would have been on duty while all the servers were on the floor checking their phones constantly. I know early dinner shifts are slow and boring and being a new establishment there isn't a lot to clean, but when your table goes unattended and they see you glued to your phone, it's frustrating as shit. Don't let the WP service and location deter you, DOWNTOWN FRANKS IS THE BEST!!! Servers and bartenders are always on point, friendly, and helpful. The type of establishment I would be proud to work for.

Seriously, you could sit at the bar for 10min before you need to say "excuse me, could I please order a beer?" The draft selection is typical with only a few that piqued my interest. Whatever I settled for a nitro IPA that I've already had.

I've been here a couple of times with a biking group. They don't have official bike racks, but they do have a gate along their outside seating you can chain to, and possibly eat outside next to it if there's any seats. There's also outside seating on the side, where you can lean your bikes along a wall next to you. I've been to the Frank & Steins in downtown Orlando plenty of times. This one is different because of the outdoor seating and a parking lot. I noticed last time I went, it looked like they were maybe installing an outside bar too! They have the same games inside as Orlando's, with skee-ball, pool table, dart boards and such. And a few TV's hanging around playing sports. This past Friday night, there was a band playing pop/rock music inside, and it seems to be a regular thing for them every Friday. Their food and beer selection looks the same, and they have a full liquor bar. Lots of craft bottled beer, and a printout of drafts on tap. Maybe 20 or 30 beers on tap? Plus rotating taps. There's something for everyone, including local Florida beers, like Cigar City. So far I've liked their wings with their special Franks sauce, based on mustard. I ordered their vege pizza once, but they were out of mushrooms, so I didn't get the full effect of how it really tastes. And their Windy City hot dog, which has jalapenos!

Awesome place! Tons of tvs that the staff will happily turn to whatever game you want to watch. They offer incredible specials for PPV events, honestly the best in town! Very clean and and spacious, with a great staff of servers and bartenders! Try the white pizza with spinach soooo gooood. This is the kind of place to hit up to make everyone happy-full liquor bar for the classic cocktailers but lots of really cool niche beers for those that wanna try new things (my fiancé) and basic chicks (me) who loves the wine

Food is okay but service is very, very slow. Anytime we needed anything we had to wave our waitress over. We even had our cards out and asked for a box and still had to wave her over it again to ask for our checks which were all messed up. Oh, parking is also a nightmare which I think will doom this building forever.

I'm giving this a 2 because I'm feeling generous. The service was terrible and the food was sub-par. For an establishment that raves about their hot dogs you'd think a little more effort would go into the chili than just opening a can. I seriously think that was Texas Pete chili sauce on my hot dog. I couldn't finish it, and I was starving. i went somewhere else to eat. It's basically a pub with over priced dogs and no culinary imagination. Before you think I'm being to hard, keep in mind there are gourmet style hot dog places out there. A few in the Orlando area actually. Highly disappointed and will not be returning nor recommending.
